Info
Kin travelled to East Hardwick Park to document the 2026 English National Cross Country Championships, not simply as an event, but as a stage for human endurance. Born from campaigns and live experiences where people gather around a shared goal, we approached the day as a narrative study for a sportswear brand. This wasn’t about podium moments alone. It was about the personal contract each athlete makes with the course, to beat the clock, to hold pace, to push beyond the point where the body negotiates. We leaned into the rawness of the terrain and the rhythm of repetition, the churned earth, the lactic build, the silence before the gun, the surge at the start line. East Hardwick Park became more than a location; it was an adversary. The course carved stories into every stride. The English National Cross Country Championships crown the best in the country. But what interested us was the in-between, the unseen effort, the private battles happening within a public race. This was a self-initiated portfolio project; we travelled for the gains. Like the athletes on the start line, we were there for the purity of it all. The mud, the sweat, and the tears
